Living Youth Programmes

is an interactive programme for ages 11-14 and takes place over 6 weeks in their Parish. Parish Gift’s purpose is for the young people to continue their faith journey after Confirmation with their friends in a fun, engaging, and caring environment.

is a faith achievement award for young people between the age of 16 and 18. This award allows young people the chance to get involved in their Church as well as their community through volunteering, taking up roles in their Church and attending faith programmes. The award lasts up to 14 months and is run through schools and parishes.

Pope John Paul II Award

is a video-based programme for 16-18 years old which runs for 12 sessions including a residential and explores the fundamental aspects of Christianity. It allows participants to connect with other young people and most importantly, connect with God. Youth Alpha is a recommended programme for Pope John Paul II Award participants.

is designed for 18 years and over. This training provides young people with the tools for volunteering as a young leader in Living Youth and focuses on areas such as Safeguarding, best practice for leading group discussions and what is expected of a Living Youth Leader.

Each summer, Living Youth leads a group of up to 50 young people to travel to a pilgrimage site within Europe. On their journey, each young person will get to make new friends from the Diocese, explore their faith and the sacraments, see the religious and other sites of our visits, all while having lots of fun, music and games along the way. Previous pilgrimages include Rome, World Youth Day, Taize, Milan and Germany.

Summer Madness is a Christian youth festival filled with events and speakers, which takes place in County Antrim over 5 days in June/July. The festival is designed for young people of all backgrounds and denominations to connect and explore their Christian faith.

Living Youth have partnered with the Habitat with Humanity Global Village project for many years, going to countries such as Ethiopia, Malawi, India and others in "Seeking to put God's love into action, by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope."
